Free Kindle Downloads

My boyfriend got me a kindle for Christmas because he knew I been wanting one for so long I was very excited but we were on a budget because of the holidays so I didn't wanna buy anything just yet! I came across a website that has a bunch of freebies including ebooks.

Make sure to check out all their other cool freebies (;

Coconut Oil

I recently discovered Coconut oil and boy am I glad I did!
Its good for so many things, I like that I can use it for things other than baking

I made Organic baby wipes/make up remover it leaves Sophies tushy nice and soft same goes for my face! I love it.
I also started a coconut oil hair treatment and I can already see and feel the difference!

Lazy day dinner

I went grocery shopping today (Glaziers supermarket) I believe they are filming 3 episodes of Extreme Couponing including the finale I was kinda bummed because the cashier told me they don't actually accept that many coupons from regular people they only do it for the show :/ lame right?! I still saved though only spent $90 and I'm sure I bought enough for 2 weeks (;

Anyway got home pretty late so I was too lazy to cook anything fancy, I found a recipe for Egg muffins and they were scrumptious and easy to make!

Peanut Butter Cups

Today I came across a recipe on Pinterest for homemade peanut butter cups and surprisingly I had all the ingredients to at least try it out! They are so incredibly amazing even though mine didn't even come out like they were supposed to.

What you"ll need:

For the chocolate
1 1/2 cups of chopped semisweet chocolate
2 tbs of peanut butter
and a pinch of salt I used sea salt

Peanut Butter Filing
3/4 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup powdered sugar
Graham cracker crumbs(optional)
1 tsp of buttermilk (optional)

To start you would have to melt your chocolate in whatever way seems easiest, I used the stove top on medium low heat and added the rest of my ingredients.

While the chocolate is melting get your muffin tin and prepare it with paper liners.
Place 2 tsp of the chocolate sauce in each cupcake liner make sure to carefully spread some of it up the liner but not entirely to the top, stick it in the fridge for 30 mins.

Meanwhile prepare the peanut butter filling by mixing all the rest of the ingredients.
Your chocolate should be hard by now so spread 1 tbs of the filing on top make sure its nice and packed, once again place in fridge for about 20 mins.

Top with 2 tsp of your melted chocolate very carefully and make sure the filling isn't visible, pop it in the fridge for an hour and enjoy!

These were so good, the hardest part was the waiting in between! But trust me you'll never wanna buy em at the store ever again.

Homemade Laundry Soap

A few months ago I came upon a recipe for laundry soap I went nuts I never even thought of doing that which I don't know why. I wouldn't stop telling my boyfriend about it, I was just so excited about the possiblilty of saving money. I love spending money but I love saving even more! I'm a cheapskate what can I say.

What you need:
3 Bars of soap (I used Fels-Naptha Soap but you can also use Zote though those are pretty big so 2 would be fine)
1 box of Borax
1 box of Baking Soda
1 box of Superwashing Soda
2 small containers of Oxyclean (I left this out)
Bucket
Cheese grater or food processor

I started by grating the bars of soap (it was a pain in the butt but someone had to do it!)
I made sure that I poured some of each little by little so it would all be nice and mixed. And that's it!

I only use about 2 tbs per load seems like a little but it cleans my clothes really well!
Doesn't it look like cheese! I would keep it covered if you have children running around we don't want them to confuse it with food!

Next time I'll tell you about Homemade Hand/Body Soap
